General Responsibilities

Responsible for the storekeeping and receiving functions. Receives and checks against requisition all food stores and/or dry goods prior to storing them; makes direct
issues and maintains records of all transactions; maintains storeroom in accordance with established standards; and prepares various reports as necessary.

Specific Duties

•Receives all products ordered by the Purchasing Office. Checks and inspects all items against purchase orders, order guides, market lists, requisitions, and invoices to ensure HACCP quality, quantity and prices are correct. This involves the ability to lift, carry or
transport objects weighing up to 100 lbs. or 1000 lbs. with wheeled assistance.

•Issues all supplies on a first in/first out basis using properly filled applications. Ensures
that items requiring price listing are listed properly on requisitions.

•Stores all products neatly in proper locations after checking them against requisitions.
Rotates the storage of all items, pricing and dating items according to HACCP
requirements.

•Maintains proper inventory levels of all supplies. Notifies supervisor of critically needed products verbally or by preparing lists or purchase requisitions.

•Prepares accurate records of transactions, including, but not limited to, receiving and
outgoing records - inventory and non-inventory purchase orders.

•Report all suspicious persons or activities and hazardous or unsafe conditions to the
Security Department.

•Provide instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other
emergency situations.

•Respond to guest questions. Provide guest assistance, direction and information as
requested when working in public areas.

• Maintains a clean and safe storeroom area.

•Maintains storeroom equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hydraulic lift), ensurmg that all
equipment are functionally operable.

• Assists with inventories and deliveries to management.

• Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•Knowledge of storeroom operations working with requisitions, purchase orders, inventory controls, issuing procedures and basic accounting.

• Mathematical skills to calculate inventories, prepare requisitions and purchase orders.

• Ability to input and retrieve information from a fairly complex computer system.

•Ability to apply basic supervisory skills to plan, organize, direct, coach, train and discipline employees as necessary.

•Ability to use various office equipment, including, but not limited to, typewriters,
calculators, photocopiers and facsimile machines.

•Possess basic English language skills so as to follow written and oral instructions;
communicate with co-workers; record information; read and comprehend invoices,
purchase orders or reports.

•Ability to communicate effectively in English with employees and customers, understand
reports and related correspondence and accurately performs all essential job functions.

•Ability to work varying shifts and maintain attendance III accordance with hotel's
attendance policy.

•Ability to comply with hotel rules and regulations including policies regarding safety and grooming standards

Experience

• Computer experience preferred.

Licenses or Certification

• Certification of tuberculosis clearance required.

• CPR and Standard First Aid Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform tasks while bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, standing, and sitting.
•Ability to lift, carry and/or transport objects weighing up to 100 lbs. continuously
throughout the shift, or up to 1000 lbs. with wheeled assistance.

• Ability to operate a forklift, hydraulic lift, and pallet jack.
